PS3: Let's play hockey eh?

To describe yesterday's games as enjoyable would be a huge mistake..

Personally i played like crap, couldn't win a faceoff, couldn't muster off a pass before getting leveled...it was an utter mess. To that end, i have to say, we need to start playing a more fun style of hockey. All we seemed to do yesterday was pass the puck once, take a crappy shot from the wing and with all players out of position, haul back as the other team was on a 3 on 0 break. It was a predictable mess and none of that was fun, at all. That's it i'm selling my PS3 to get an XBOX and join the ECHL level pensblog team. Can I be GM? EDIT: Sarcasm alert, threat level midnight.

even connie moreau (not pictured) had more hockey sense

Hell if you vactually sell your PS3 and pick up an XBOX 360. I will personally make you a GM. At least somebody on the PS3 side is seeing what the PBP team saw.

Not sure how many of you actually live in the Pittsburgh area, but is anyone still without power? I have been down since Sunday night and they are saying it might be until Thursday before we are back up.

Figures...get NHL 09 and a headset and I lose power for a few days...

Go Pens!

My Dad works for Duquesne Light. It's a disgraceful company that won't hire enough people to fix shit like this. He told me the other night that a lot of areas will be out until Thursday.

It's a joke. Call and complain.

2-1 win over lunch felt good, even if a duffel bag could hit better.

The games I played we lost by only one goal or so. It was a defensive clinic though!

I'm starting to get used to some of you guys and how you play, I'm loving this game more and more as time moves forward!

faceoffs are huge (have to win them) and i think some people should be in different positions. it's all about finding out who's good where. trial and error. and getting used to playing with everyone. and if we played the xbox team and lost bad, we'd just start jobbing and have fun with it, just like the other night. it really was a lot of fun.

I, along with big red dog ( aka cliff my roommate ) live in sewickley heights. Its weird because the town of sewickley has power but us up on the hill don't. I checked the dequesnse light site today and they said earliest will be late thursday or possibly friday.....awesome.
Luckily I'm a web developer, so i get my computer fix during the day....still wish I had my electric back

I also notice during games that people bunch up on offense and defense on occasion towards the net or just on one side which leaves people open or no one to pass to which makes people take the crappy shots.

I think you'll eventually regret selling your PS3 if you do indeed do that now...

That being said, the 360 is certainly a great system worth getting. I suggest you take a look at this Stacker 2 contest going on where you can win a 360 (or PS3) so you can have both systems. Right now there are less than 325 entrants, and there are also weekly prizes to win such as 6 Hour Power energy shots (which make a great pick me up) and Codemasters upcoming game Rise of the Argonauts. All you have to do to enter is design a 6 hour Power t-shirt, which is surprisingly easy to do online. Check out the contest details here: http://www.brickfish.com/Entertainment/Stacker2?tab=overview

By the way, I hope you don't mind me commenting on your blog. I work with 6 Hour Power so if you have any questions about the contest or the drink itself just let me know. Be sure to tell me if you do enter, and I'd be happy to vote for your design. Good luck.

Chris Menn is a passing beast. Set me up perfectly twice in a game tonight including the game winner in OT. WOO. Some people are getting pretty wicked.

Win or Lose I'm having fun, but crushing hopes of the opposing teams comeback is so bitchin. See yall back on tomorrow night.
