There are still way too many unanswered questions regarding the EASHL league, I guess we will find out all of the details in the next few days. What I want to discuss here though is the process we should go through to form teams. Every day, we'll have a Gameday post where (you) the players will post when you'll be available that night for a team game. Once we have enough players available, you can start putting together the 6 man team (LW, C, RW, D, D, G) and commit yourselves to a position in order to avoid confusion/frustration. Obviously not eveyone will get to play their preffered position everytime, but if we do this right, we can come to an agreeable solution.

so only six players can play a game and it's the same line the whole game? so if more than six people want to play on a game night it will have to be determined somehow who gets to play? or is it not as organized as i'm thinking it is and 6 guys can go play this team, while these 6 guys go play another game, but all the stats and wins and loses go under "Team Pensblog"? Just trying to get answers before i commit myself.

We can have concurrent games going on, but each game instance can only have a max of 6 players with no line changes for the entire game. Also if we only have like 7 people available to play, we may want to think about splitting it up and having a four man team and a three man team going at the same time. Three is the minimum from what i've read. So if you are available, odds are you should be able to get a game going with no problems.
from what i understand... when you create your player you also create that players position.
my question is if i create myself as a LW is that going to be able to be edited later on?
my point is it could potentially suck pretty bad if say we have 7 really good LWs 4 really good Cs and only 2 really good RW and one of our stud LW could not switch to C or RW at will.
i guess we will find out...
juice...from what i've read and seen in interviews with the producer himself, everyone..no matter what position you create yourself, will be able to play any position on the ice including goalie. That is why it is important to build a mini-guild every day to figure out who will play where, instead of all of you fighting for 2 preferred spots and someone having to play a position they don't want to.
communication and lots of it, will be absolutely necessary to keep peace amongst our team. I also suggest XBOX group have their own gameday post for this, but that's up to them.

i think computer goalies are the way to go to be honest but who knows
i wholeheartedly agree about the computer goalie...i mean we'll have to, we only have 1 goalie so when max is on, then he can play, but otherwise we don't really have a choice. So realistically and ideally we'll be putting together 1 full line (LW,C,RW,D,D) for each game we play.
I wonder how the computer selects which players will play, for example, i guess max will always be our goalie, even when the computer controls him....

From what I've read there is suppose to be some big new or changed thing as far as online play goes. It's unconfirmed by EA but I hope the big change is that online play works instead of being strictly for show.

Yeah that's my fault I wanted to sign up for 360 but must've done it in the ps3 comments.
I would also like to bring up the issue of starting the team. Who is going to be the person who actually enters in the name and creates the team? Can it be someone that gets the game on Wednesday so there is no time lost. If we get a couple of wins on Wednesday, we could totally be number 1.

Cdubbs, the point is to list your availability in the comments section whenever you know what your schedule allows. I know not everyone will be able to play everyday or even every week, but as soon as you know it be cool to let everyone else know so we can get a game going as soon as possible and not waste time. If no one is willing to play goal, we'll just do 5 man teams with a computer controlled goalie...if we're allowed.
i am almost always available for some time during the evenings. I'm a little under the weather now but I should be in game shape in the next few days.
