I'm bringing the Gameday thread back, some people are having problems getting games in, some are not(polish), if you don't like it, don't use it.
For those with limited schedules, post the time you'll be on for some team games tonight.
Here's the complete 50 man roster...... make sure to add these guys to your friends list...you can now have 100 friends on the PS3 so it shouldn't be too difficult to fit these guys in.
We are now 140 - 170 ranked 46th in the 1st division.

any word yet on new recruits? I would love to join. Currently in the HF pens league but theres not enough people to ever play. Im very good, My record is 5 goals in 1 game in a game from the league.

The 4 games I was in last night were so demoralizing, my cat got its ass beat with all my misappropriated anger.
dagoose, at this point the roster is full with 50 player max reached. Two players have left our team this week, but they were quickly replaced...if we lose another, you may have a chance.

we shouldn't have the problem of running into a team wearing the same colors as us anymore...man are those games where both teams are black or white frustrating!
The 91'-92' white and black are still better than the blues. Baby blue isn't Penguins.
I also would like to be considered later on if some people drop out. I'm looking to join a team but if I could get in with some other Pens fans that would be ideal. My gamertag is kmm83.
I took a ton of bad penalties the first game. The other few no one was passing, no fore checking, and we got spanked pretty bad. Our forwards were trying to carry it into the zone with four guys on them, and the other team will poke it free and go on and odd-man rush.
My cat may never be the same.
I'll be on around 8 PM EST till I fall over. What I've noticed recently is we're losing a lot of games early in the night. Our better guys tend to get on after 10 PM EST and then we win some. Maybe we should set up a practice or something or coordinate
Anyone else find it incredibly annoying that there is a blue player indicator that gets darker when you have the puck but there's also a purple one that turns blue when the player has the puck?
I think we have a decent system going now. There's the early shift and the late shift. Not saying you have to stick to one or the other but it seems like there are two waves. Get on when you're ready to play and if it's in the evening-night-early morning hours there will be plenty of people to play.
How does that solve our lack of offensive zone possession?

What's early?... I'm usually up till 5 or so playing.
I think the lack of offensive zone possession is due to bad decision making on passes once we have the puck. Basically to score we shouldn't have to have one guy weave through 3 guys, nor should we only be trying complete passes to guys directly across the crease. We need to be cycling the puck and moving it around the perimeter. Everyone is trying to take shots and deke the goalie but we're being scored on by guys taking shots from the top of the circle.
Brilliant. It's tragically true. We get scored on guys who cycle constantly.

good games last night. as an afterthought, we should work on our shootouts.
I try to work on them before I get into online play. Last night I didn't, obviously.
I say we need to work on scoring first. It was way too hard to score last night. Every game was 0-0 or 1-1. Every game went to overtime or a shootout. Owen, Smo, Derek, (Aron for a little), and I played some killer team D last night. We limited scoring opportunities big time and had really good transitions into offense. We didn't score many goals and that's mind blowing for some of the chances we had. I'm not sure if EA can "control" this sort of stuff but I hope it's a different story tonight.
Boosh! I will be on later tonight, NO ONE will score, and everyone gets laid.
We need to work on finding teams that use human goalies, that's how you generate offense.
but seriously it seems the old NHL08 move bringing it into the zone from the right, cutting left and then shooting top right works more often than it should. I talso looks like other teams are scoring by passing it right through the crease, defying all logic and tapping in beach balls.

What's up with the rankings? We go first we in the 40's at 27 games under .500 then we move up to 23rd when we go down to 30 games under and now we're 93rd when we get back to 27 games under .500
The rankings are gay. They just started keeping track of overtime losses.
PASSING, PASSING, PASSING, PASSING!!!!... The last game I played in was stupid. I got stuck on D which is already bad but there were like 3 or 4 chances to make clear passes to the front and people tried to shoot. We've been playing this game long enough to know what to do and when to do it. Some guys just chase the puck no matter where it is. The defense will try to attack the puck carrier but there are already 3 forwards doing their best to hump the guy into submission.

What is up with this game seriously. While in my 3rd season of be a pro I have a 20 point lead in points of the entire NHL and get demoted to the 2nd line? I'm averaging 2 points per game and I get dropped to the second line because of lackluster stats??? In the game before I get a c+ in stats with 2 assists and a goal? WTF Mate?
